We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Carpenter / Framing Carpenter to join our team. A Journeyman ticket is not required, but equivalent experience is a must.

About the Role

As a Journeyman Carpenter / Framing Carpenter, you will be involved in structural framing, repairs, rebuilds, renovations, and detailed carpentry work. You will be expected to read and interpret construction documents, complete work to code and specification, maintain clean and organized job sites, and support a strong team environment.

This role is ideal for someone who wants more than repetitive framing work. The right person will be dependable, skilled, professional, and comfortable working on projects where details matter.

You should be confident in your experience, but also willing to ask questions, provide input, and continue improving. We value people who bring a good attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in the finished product.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete structural framing systems in accordance with building code, current bylaws, and project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents
• Communicate important project information clearly to crew members and supervisors
• Ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and to Truline’s standards
• Support structural repairs, rebuilds, renovations, and custom construction work
• Maintain an organized worksite, including materials, tools, waste, and work areas
• Help keep job sites clean, safe, efficient, and professional
• Delegate tasks to fellow crew members when required
• Support project flow by identifying issues, asking questions, and helping solve problems on site
• Represent Truline Contracting professionally with clients, trades, and team members
• Contribute to a positive, driven, and high-standard work environment

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of framing, renovation, structural restoration, or related carpentry experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, framing, and job site standards
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
• Own hand tools and basic power tools, including drill set, skill saw, and related tools
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s licence
• Fluent English communication skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
• Willingness to work as part of a team and uphold high standards on site

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter certification
• Window and door installation experience
• Exterior envelope experience
• Cabinetry fabrication and installation experience
• Reliable work truck or van; mileage paid where applicable
